- Mar 26, 2019 Fingerprint scanner not working - WINDOWS 10 1809 I have an HP ProBook 470 G5 and I cannot get Fingerprint scanner to work all drivers are installed but biometrics are not shown in Devices. Can someone please help to resolve issue. Fingerprint reader is not working on fresh boot.it will only work if i restart or wake up after sleep.
- Gen running Win 10 and recently updated my my OS to Windows 10, version 1803. Now my Synaptic Fingerprint reader does not work anymore. I checked in Device Manager and it shows as unrocognized. I've updated my BIOS, reninstalled the finger print reader driver, and reinstalled the Synaptic fingerprint reader pro software.
