I see a bunch of support for the new GW cases in this thread.
I have to say that when I first saw the initial release video and marketing, I was impressed. I then had a chance to go hands on with some in a GW store.I have a very old Battlefoam bag from back when the company first started up.
I have been looking for a larger bag so I was considering the GW cases. I can say now that there is no way I would purchase a new GW case. I will be buying a new Battlefoam bag soon.GW cases are fine provided your army composition is compatible with the trays. Lots of infantry is no problem.
Lots of large models becomes an issue. You have a lot of vehicles and infantry and large models? Good luck with that. With Battlefoam trays I know exactly what will fit on each tray.
I also have better access to individual models with out rummaging around in the foam layout that the GW cases have.Battlefoam trays have a rigid backing so I can hold a whole tray with just one hand. This is awesome for deployment. GW foam is super soft. It has to be because the foam is compressed when you close the case. The biggest reason I will stay with Battlefoam is that the bags have storage for non-model items.
Dice, templates, tape measures, rule books, cell phone, etc can all be stored in the external pouches so I literally have a single bag to take when I go gaming. It is more expensive, sure, but how much are all these models you are packing in there worth? I want a customized solution that I know will carry my exact army without cramping my models.
KR Multicase can recommend our Core Range for Cruel SeasCruel Seas has been a popular request for tray recommendations and the KR Multicase team has recommendations for the wide array of ships for this strategic naval game. For the main ships of the line, such as the M-Class Minesweeper, Vorpostenboot, Hei-Class Escort, and PT Boats, we recommend the pick&pluck tray, whilst larger vessels, like the Armed Trawlers, Fairmile MTB and large ships, we recommend the pick&pluck tray. For many of the Aircraft, we recommend the pick&pluck tray, to hold planes like the Britstol Beaufort, Cr. 32 Biplane and F4U Corsairs. For the small craft, like the LCM landing craft, the T-14 Class MTB, we recommend the tray to hold 20! And given the number of small craft, this may well be needed for you!Of course, we're working our way to making a range of custom trays for these naval vessels, so keep an eye out for those on our tray guide pages!KR Multicase - Putting figures first!
